About Chapplins

Since opening our doors in 1996 much of what we based our original business plans and strategy on has stayed the same but the industry has changed fundamentally and so we have maintained our core principles and have incorporated them into the new digital world that we all now work and relax in. We steadfastly believe that our future success depends upon delivering the same excellent and consistent customer service that enabled us to exceed the 20 year anniversary we will celebrate in 2016.

We started with just two offices one in Havant opened by Kerry Applin and one in Bordon opened by Martin Hodgson and William Newell. These offices soon thrived and became market leaders in their respective towns. Their success was firmly established and later added to in 2002 when Clive Bryant and Beverley Green opened the Fareham office. This office again grew to become one of the towns most successful estate agents and plans to relocate to much larger and prestigious premises were realised in 2013.

Our growth along the M27 and north along the A3 continued in 2010 when William Newell opened the Liss office. Bridging the gap between Bordon in the north and Havant in the south it was a natural progression and created its own unique identity "Chapplins of Liss” which reflected their position as the only Estate Agent entirely focused on Liss and the surrounding villages and Hamlets.

Our lettings story started properly in 1991 when Andy and Karen Stroud opened an estate agency called Network Homes. Some 13 years later Network Homes became one of the largest and highly regarded Independent letting and property management companies in the area. Covering Portsmouth, Cosham, Waterlooville Havant and Fareham with an additional customer base stretching right across Hampshire and beyond. A merger with Chapplins was agreed and in 2004 this was finalised.

This gave the new larger Chapplins the opportunity to grow more quickly and increase its product range for its customers increasing its reach and property management numbers significantly.

Our early focus on the rental sector has allowed Chapplins property management to significantly grow into the organisation it is today allowing us to successfully manage a high number of properties whilst still enabling a high degree of personal interaction which the Chapplins brand is so synonymous with. We now have a devoted team who are able to deal with individual first time landlords and property professionals with a large property portfolio.
