Fundraising in the rain!

Chapplins director Kerry Applin had a most enjoyable day selling "sausage sizzles" in order to raise money for the charity Open Doors outside Bunninigs superstore in Chichester on Bank Holiday Monday. It poured with rain but we had a lot of fun and banter with the shoppers coming and going into Bunnings from 9 – 4 on Monday. Bunnings very kindly provide the cooking facilities and gazebo to keep the rain off and we raised £515.00 on the day for the charity Open Doors.

Kerry and his wife Sue are part of the community fundraisers who find a charity and try to raise some funds for them. They are both running the Great North Run half marathon in September also for Open Doors.

They recently raised money running a quiz night for “togetherfortyler” supporting a young man suffering from a brain tumour, The Apuldram Centre for adults with learning disabilities and Paxco, a company who support children with learning difficulties.

If you have charity event that needs support then please feel free to contact Kerry on 02392 482261 and see if he can help!
